Restauro e risanamento conservativo della sede della Camera di Commercio di Sondrio, Sondrio.
Trascorsi sessantacinque anni dalla sua costruzione (1956), la Camera di Commercio si presenta ora (2021) rinnovata, con le facciate restaurate e l’ingresso ripristinato nel suo asse centrale.
Nel corso degli anni aveva subito alcuni interventi che ne avevano snaturato la vocazione moderna, ed il passare del tempo aveva portato al suo degrado.
La sua architettura era il risultato degli esiti di un concorso bandito nel 1952, della cui giuria facevano parte alcuni degli architetti italiani più in voga in quegli anni: a livello nazionale/internazionale Alberto Sartoris, Gio Ponti, e Giovanni Michelucci; a livello locale Ugo Martinola.
Il concorso era stato “vinto” da Ico Parisi con Longhi e Cappelletti.
Il progetto di restauro prende concretamente avvio nel 2018 quando la Camera di Commercio, attraverso il Comune di Sondrio bandisce la gara per il restauro ed il risanamento conservativo della sede.
La sfida è stata riuscire a migliorare le prestazioni energetiche dell’involucro senza stravolgerlo, rispettandone l’identità. Per fare questo abbiamo adottato materiali e tecnologie d’avanguardia. La Camera aveva l’esigenza di rendere più vivibili gli uffici, molto caldi d’estate e freddi d’inverno, e di renderli più silenziosi.
Sixty five years after its construction (1956) the Chamber of Commerce has been renovated (2021); the facades have been restored and the entrance has returned to its central axis.
Over the years, it underwent some interventions that took away its modern style, and the passing of time led to its degradation.
Its architecture was the result of the outcome of a competition launched in 1952, whose jury included some of the most popular Italian architects of the time: at a national/international level there were Alberto Sartoris, Gio Ponti, and Giovanni Michelucci; at a local level there was Ugo Martinola.
The competition was "won" by Ico Parisi with Longhi and Cappelletti.
The restoration project started concretely in 2018 when the Chamber of Commerce, through the Municipality of Sondrio, announced the tender for the restoration and redevelopment of the headquarters.
The challenge was that of improving the energy performance of the structure without distorting it, respecting its identity. To do this we adopted cutting-edge materials and technologies. The Chamber needed to make offices, very hot in summer and cold in winter, more liveable and to make them quieter.
